I remember when we first met. We were so young. I promised to look after you. You made me strong. You gave me confidence, an identity. We went everywhere together.
Hope and Desperation
Every day I lose a part of you. The more I lose you the more I lose a part of myself. I miss you. I promise if you come back I’ll take better care of you. I need you. You make me feel special. I see the change in me, every time I look in the mirror. You’re not coming back so I’ll spend as much time with you as I can.
Sweet mother of….dammit…son of a b…..what the?
How much hair am I losing? Is that a bald patch? No!!! What do I do? Can I salvage a good hair cut from this? The kids say I’m old because I’m losing my hair.
You had your chance. It was good while it lasted. I’ve moved on. I’ve found something new, something that makes me happy. I’ll nurture it, make myself, well, me again. I’ll get my confidence back, I’ll be strong.
